“Why are you walking faster?”
“Because I don’t want to miss the bus.”
“But it arrives in two hours!”
“I like to enjoy the serenity before the hustlers start pouring in.”
“We didn’t have breakfast, and I’m combing my hair in the street.”
“A small price to pay for punctuality.”
“For a promotion, you mean.”
“With or without a promotion, I’d still choose diligence.”
What I learnt: Superfluous dialogue can be unclear.
