Reva in the Land of Bubbles – A Short Story for Children
Reva, Ellie, and David were at the beach. Each one had a bubble blower. They blew many bubbles and popped them. Pop! Pop! Pop! At first it was a lot of fun, but soon, Reva was bored. He dropped his bubble blower in the sand.
“I don’t want to blow bubbles anymore,” he said.
“Why?” asked Ellie.
“Bubbles are no fun,” he said with a frown.
“That’s because you’ve never been to the Land of Bubbles,” David said.
“The Land of Bubbles?” Reva asked, his eyes shining.
“Yes, I’ll take you there,” David said.
Reva wanted to see the Land of Bubbles.
“In Bubble Land, the clouds are made of bubbles,” David said. “And it rains bubble-rain."
They cook their food with bubble fire,“ Ellie said. “They have a bubble fountain, and all the children play there.”
“There’s a bubble tree that grows tasty bubble fruit all year round,” David added.
“Mmmm,” Reva said, licking his lips. “I’d like to have some.”
So, they started off for Bubble Land. It was not long before they met a woman with bubble shoes. She was from bubble land.
“Hello,” David said and waved. “Is this the way to the Land of Bubbles?” he asked.
“Yes,” she said. “Straight down,” she said, pointing down the road. “It’s simple.”
“Thank you,” said the children and turned to go, but they could see that the woman was sad.
“What’s the matter?” asked Ellie.
“Oh,” she said with a sniffle, “Bubble Land is not what it once was. There are no more bubbles!”
“No more bubbles!” the three children cried. “What happened to the bubbles?” they asked.
“An evil wizard wanted them all to himself. So, he took them all away. Now, there are no bubbles left.”
“Sorry to hear that,” the children said.
“Yes, it is sad,” said the woman. “There is no bubble spark to light our fires, and we have no bubble food. There’s been no bubble rain for many days. Things are no longer the same,” she said, sobbing sadly.
“Could anything make it come back?” they asked.
“Yes, there is. If just one bubble can be found in bubble land, the terrible spell will be destroyed and all the bubbles will return.”
The children were happy because they knew they could help.
“We have bubbles,” they said.
The woman with bubble shoes jumped up happily. YIPPIE!
So the three children and the woman went to the Land of Bubbles together. They held their bubble blowers and blew bubbles in every direction. Very soon, they could see bubble clouds forming in the sky.
“You’ve saved the land of bubbles,” the woman said. “Thank you! But you must hurry home, or else you’ll get wet with bubble rain.”
They waved goodbye and were soon back at the beach.
“Reva, Ellie, and David, we should get going. It looks like a storm.”
There, their adventures ended for the day. Who knew bubbles could be so much fun!
The End
