Reva’s Tea Party – A Short Children’s Story
Reva wanted to have a tea party. He invited David, but David said, “Not now, Reva. I have to do my homework.”
Then he invited Ellie, but she said, “Sorry, Reva. I need to finish making a dress for my doll.
Daddy was out, and Mummy was busy.
“I can’t have a tea party all by myself,” Reva said and crossed his arms.
He looked across the room. In the corner, Fluffy the teddy bear and Mr. Elephant were lying on the floor. A bright idea popped into Reva's mind. He would ask Fluffy and Mr. Elephant to his tea party.
He dashed across the room and picked up the Teddy bear and the elephant.
“Will you come to my tea party?” he asked.
“Of course,” said Fluffy.
“I’ll be glad to,” said Mr. Elephant.
So they all walked to the tea table.
At the tea table, there was no tea, and there were no cookies or cakes.
“We can’t have a tea party without tea,” Reva said, drawing his eyebrows together.
“Of course not,” said Fluffy.
“And I’d be glad to help,” said Mr. Elephant.
So they all pitched in to set everything in place. Reva set the kettle on the stove, and Fluffy made cake. Mr. Elephant made the most delicious batch of cookies anyone has ever tasted. Now, everything was ready for the tea party.
“Would you like some tea?” Reva asked Fluffy.
“Of course,” said Fluffy, smacking his lips.
“And could you please pass the cookies around,” Reva said to Mr. Elephant.
“I’ll be glad to help,” said Mr. Elephant cheerily. And he passed the cookies to Fluffy.
Soon, Ellie was done, and David was done. They joined Reva’s tea party. When they tasted Mr. Elephant’s cookies, they both agreed that they were indeed the best. It was a wonderful tea party.
